The project involves furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work required for the installation of a new fence and gate system at the designated location. The scope includes removing the existing fence, properly disposing of all materials removed, and installing the new fencing and gate as specified. All work shall be performed per provided plans and specifications. Bidders must review all plans, specifications, and special provisions, and provide unit and total prices for all items listed in the bid schedule. All responses must comply with the requirements set forth in the bidding documents, and bidders are responsible for inspecting the site and becoming fully informed regarding all conditions affecting the work. Once the results have been determined by staff, bid results may be obtained on at online. The work, in general, consists of construction of a 7' tall metal perimeter fence and gates around Caper Acres playground. The location of the work is Caper Acres Playground, in the South One Mile Recreation Area of Bidwell Park. The Contractor shall provide all necessary permits, labor, materials and required equipment to perform the work as indicated in the Special Provisions, and as necessary to complete the Contract. All work shall be in conformance with the attached General Provisions, Special Provisions, and Standard Specifications. The project shall commence upon execution of a completed contract and be completed by December 31, 2025. Responses to questions will be posted on the bid site. Questions and Requests for Information must be submitted five (5) calendar days prior to bid opening. At the time the City awards the Contract for this project, the Contractor shall possess a C-13 Contractor License and shall maintain same in a current status for the duration of the Contract. Upon award of contract, Contractor shall obtain a City of Chico Business License and shall maintain same in a current status for the duration of the project. State prevailing wages are required to be paid to members of each craft or classification performing work on this project. Each worker performing work under this contract shall be paid a rate no less than the prevailing wage as described in Section 1771 and 1774 of the Labor Code. The prevailing wage rates are available online. Contractor shall comply with the provisions of Labor Code Section 1776 and 1812, which are incorporated by reference herein.
