Reference Number 0000401312 In order to provide Clinton Township with contractors and subcontractors who will carry out the work in a timely and satisfactory manner, an approved prequalification for pump station rehabilitation must be on file with the Township prior to the bid opening. The general scope of work is outlined below and summarizes what is provided in the General Special Provision Section: Installation of an Owner-provided 600 kW Cummins Model: C600N6 natural gas generator at Clinton Township Water Booster Pump Station (BPS) located at 17825 18 Mile Road in Clinton Township, Michigan. Installation of a reinforced concrete pad for the generator with required curbing, piers and other pavement as shown on the plans and details. Procurement and installation of docking station for a portable generator power alternative to the generator. Installation of all required conduits for future electrical connections that will be completed in the Phase 2 portion of the work. Removal and disposal of an existing 2,000 gallon diesel underground storage tank (UST) with clean backfill and restoration. Work also includes incidental construction including, but not limited to: pavement removal and replacement, franchise utility coordination, earthwork, subgrade preparation and restoration. The cost of the bonds will be paid by the accepted bidder. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after receipt of bids. The Charter Township of Clinton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to award the agreement to other than the low proposal, to negotiate the terms and conditions of all and any part of the bids, to waive irregularities and/or formalities, and in general to make award in the manner as determined to be in the Township's best interest and its sole discretion. The project shall commence immediately following a notice to proceed per these contract documents. This project shall be substantially completed within (60) days of said time.
