Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Wendell, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a fitness / recreation center; for site work for a fitness / recreation center; playground / park / athletic field; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Town of Wendell is soliciting statements of qualification from professional design consulting firms to provide professional services for the concept design, construction drawings, permitting, and construction management of a New Recreation Center. The Town is seeking one firm with multi-faceted experience working with Parks and Recreation projects, but may also consider a team of qualified firms, including sub-consultants. Such experience may include, but is not limited to, any of the following: o Master Planning o Community and Stakeholder Meeting Coordination o Surveying o Conceptual Design, Design Development, Construction Documents o Architectural Services o Civil/Structural Engineering o Hydraulic/Environmental Engineering o Transportation/Traffic Analysis o Wetland Delineation o Construction Administration in coordination with Owner's Project Manager o Utility Coordination - Utilities, water and sewer extension. Sewer work to coordinate with future facilities o Public Presentation o Detailed Cost Estimating Questions regarding the RFQ shall be submitted in writing to Jeff Polaski, Parks & Recreation Director via email to jpolaski@townofwendellnc.gov no later than 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST), on 10/24/2025. Indicate the RFQ name in the subject heading of the email. The Town reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, to waive any and all informalities and/or irregularities, if it is deemed to be in the Town's best interests to do so. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the items in the proposal, and to award the contract in whole or in part and/or negotiate any or all items with individual firms if it is deemed in the Town's best interest. Moreover, the Town reserves the right to make no selection if proposals are deemed not in the best interest of the Town.
