A. The scope of this Section defines the items included in each Bid Item. Payment will be made based on the specified items included in the description in this Section for each Bid Item. B. All Contract Prices included in the Schedule of Bid Items will be full compensation for all labor, materials, tools, equipment, procedures and incidentals necessary to complete the work as shown on the Drawings and/or as described in the Specifications for the work to be performed under this Contract. Payment for all items listed in the Schedule of Bid Items will constitute full compensation for all work specified to be performed under this project. Sealed bids will be received for an 8" waterline extension on I-49 N Service Road. The project includes all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and related requirements as set forth in the Bid Documents. Bids must conform to all requirements specified, including a certified check or bid bond for 5% of the bid amount, as a guarantee the bidder will furnish all bonds and enter into a contract if selected. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the project name and the contractor's license number, or electronically through the specified auction website. All contractors must possess a Municipal and Public Works classification license. Sureties for bonds must be acceptable on the U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570 and licensed in Louisiana. Bids cannot be withdrawn for forty-five days after opening, except as specified by law. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
