This project will replace the bridge carrying Spackenkill Road over Route 9 in the Town of Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County. NYSDOT Region: 08 Hudson Valley The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Summer 2029. Construction is expected to begin in Summer 2029. Construction is expected to be completed in Fall 2030. As of October 14, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting Year is 2026. NYDOT : Bridge Replacement: Spackenkill Road/Route 9: Town of Poughkeepsie *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
