License Requirements CSLB - Class A, DIR registered Project Type Bid Response Types Line Items Type of Award Lump Sum The San Luis & Delta-Mendota Water Authority (Water Authority), on behalf of the United States Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), operates and maintains the Delta-Mendota Canal (DMC), a 116.5-mile-long canal that carries water from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta near Tracy to the Mendota Pool, about 30 miles west of Fresno. Since its construction, regional subsidence has been observed within the California Central Valley and along the length of the DMC. This has significantly impacted the available freeboard for the canal lining and embankment, as well as the clearances between water surface elevations (WSE) and structures crossing the canal.
