Renovation of a transportation facility in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The Airport has a series of cargo buildings at the end of their useful life. The scope of this project is a core-and-shell 2-story cargo building with associated leasable office space mezzanine and improved sidewalk and landscaping elements. All interior fit-out work to be by future tenant. Phase 1 (626.1) Scope includes cargo warehouse space spread across two floors, 28 truck docks, 7 future truck docks, structural accommodations for material handling systems such as an elevating transfer vehicle (ETV), office space with light wells and two parking stalls, both of which are handicap accessible. The ware house facade is primarily insulated metal panel with glass and translucent polycarbonate with a durable concrete base. The office facade is primarily glass and metal panel with a glass and concrete base. The project is served by two elevators per phase. Prior to occupancy, demolition of building 624 and relocation of some existing infrastructure such as an existing vault and pad-mounted equipment will be performed. The 626 Cargo Building is part of the larger West Field Area which includes multiple cargo buildings, parking garages, additional office space and a new hotel. The West Field is collectively being re-planned to establish a new consolidated office campus and cargo district at SFO. Description of the Trade Package Scope of Work: Scope of work includes purchase, form, pour, place, finish of all structural cast-in-place concrete and all associated reinforcing. CMD LBE Participation Requirement %: 15%
