Nysdot Region: 08 Hudson Valley This project will repair two segments of existing Mechanically Stabilized Earth System (MSES) walls on the Sprain Brook Parkway at Payne Street and the eastbound Cross-Westchester Expressway ramp to southbound Sprain Brook Parkway in the Town of Greenburgh and Village of Elmsford in Westchester County. The work will include infilling missing MSE wall sections along the bridge carrying the Sprain Brook Parkway over Payne Street. The work will address chronic wall failures that frequently cause lane closures and extensive commuter delays. As of October 14, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting Year is 2031. NYDOT - Mses Wall Repair: Sprain Brook Parkway: Westchester County *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
