This project mills and resurfaces Route 17 with a single course WMA (Warm-Mix Asphalt) treatment from exit 89 in the hamlet of Fishs Eddy to exit 90 in the hamlet of East Branch, all in the town of Hancock, Delaware County. Some sections of guide railing are replaced, and new pavement markings are installed. SAFETAP items (Safety Appurtenance Program) are included as resources allow. NYSDOT Region: 09 Southern Tier Construction is expected to be completed in Winter 2029/2030. As of October 15, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting Year is 2026. NYDOT : RT 17 Resurfacing, Fishs Eddy to East Branch, Town of Hancock, Delaware County *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
