Remodeling of a municipal facility in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.
The Division of Facilities Development, hereinafter termed DFD, hereby announces that it is advertising for bids from certified contractors for the above project. All potential bidders must become certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $100,000. All bids received from contractors who are not certified will be rejected. These changes take effect January 1, 2014. The bidder is responsible for the sealed bid being delivered to the indicated location or submitted via the eBuilder Bid Portal before the time specified for the bid submission. Third party delivery is entirely at the bidder's risk. In general, the work consists of: Interior renovation to 9,100 square feet. Demolition of drywall partitions with doors and hollow metal frames. Other work includes plywood monitor mounts, removal and reinstallation of plastic laminate casework with modifications, acoustic ceiling system modifications to accommodate new layout and access work above ceiling. Partitions are metal stud and drywall with wood doors in hollow metal frames with glass lites. Finish work includes wall base, carpet tiles, corner guards, casework modifications, and ceiling tiles. Electrical removal and installation of power and data sensors to accommodate renovation layout. Ceiling work includes removal and reinstallation or new light fixtures, exit lights, occupancy sensors, fire alarms, smoke detectors. Mechanical work includes duct and piping modifications, new VAVs equipment, relocation or new supply diffusers and return grilles. Fire protection work is piping modifications, removal and relocation of sprinkler heads, new sprinkler heads to accommodate renovation layout. Work by owner includes: 1. Wireless access points (WAPs) to remove, relocate, and provide and install new devices by owner. Electrical contractor to provide cable, refer to electrical for cable locations. 2. General contractor to create door hardware core order and provide to owner. Owner to send to capitol police department (CPD). CPD to place core order, receive cores, install cores, and key. 3. HVAC controls and programming by owner. Refer to mechanical sheet M300 for responsibility notes. 4. Card access device provided by owner and turned over to contractor for installation. Refer to electrical for locations 5. Owner to provide the vinyl wall base material only and turn over to contractor. Contractor to install. To install wall base. Contractor to provide adhesive. Contractor to modify wall base at new partitions intersections. 6. Owner to provide and install paint primer and finish painting of partitions, soffits, and hollow metal frames. contractor to sand and prep new partitions, partition intersections, patched partitions, and partition mullion termination ready for paint finish.
