Sealed bids are requested for HVAC Systems Upgrades at School #6, together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with drawings and specifications. The contract is for a single overall contract. Bidders are to submit proposals at the Board of Education office, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids must comply with bidding requirements and all applicable laws. Bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond is required, and the Board of Education reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any and all bids in accordance with the law. The project is partially financed through grants, requiring compliance with the Educational Facilities Construction and Financing Act, and related grant agreement requirements. All contractors and subcontractors are to be registered and must comply with all business registration, use tax, and prevailing wage requirements. No cash will be accepted for bid documents. Documents may be obtained for a fee from the designated office, with additional charges for shipping and handling as necessary. Pre-qualification requirements for bidders include submission of current prequalification certificates issued by both DPMC and NJSDA for one of the following classifications: General Contractor with DPMC Classification C008 (General Construction), General Contractor with DPMC Classification C009 (General Construction/Alterations and Additions), or Mechanical Contractor with DPMC Classification C032 (HVACR). Additionally, current prequalification certificates for specialty trades (Structural Steel C029, Plumbing C030, HVACR C032 if C008 or C009 is Prime, Electrical C047) must be submitted for the Bidder or its subcontractors. Bidders and all subcontractors must also be registered under the Public Works Contractor Registration Act and provide valid registration certificates. A Consent of Surety from an approved surety for performance/payment bonds is required. All required documentation must be submitted with the bid, or the bid may be rejected as non-responsive. No bidder on the State Treasurer's or Federal Government's list of debarred, suspended, or disqualified bidders shall be eligible. Additional compliance with Affirmative Action and related state statutory requirements is required. All Bidders must submit a Political Contribution Disclosure Form with their bid packages. Failure to provide appropriate certifications, forms, and registrations will result in rejection of the bid.
