Renovation of a water / sewer project in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Mount Werner Water and Sanitation District (District) is specifically requesting statements of qualification from qualified general contractors to provide general construction and related services for a phased project to rehabilitate ten filter bays at the Fish Creek Treatment Plant. The scope of work and services generally includes, but is not limited to the following: Fish Creek Treatment Plant Filter Media Rehab and Replacement: * The replacement of filter underdrains, media, valves, actuators, process instrumentation, and flow meters * Installation of air scour piping, blowers, and appurtenances * Coordination with owner supplied procurement and subcontractors * Work is to be performed during the winter months and phased over 2-3 years * Each phase will be formally scoped and contracted individually until all 10 filters are complete * 60% design plans are available for review upon request The selected contractor will work with the District to develop a scope of work for each phase, after which a proposal including a not-to-exceed fee will be submitted for approval. A construction contract will be executed and thereafter amended for each phase as the work progresses. A notice to proceed for the first phase is anticipated to be issued no later than January 1, 2026.
