Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Canton, Kansas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 5,000-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; pre-engineered storage facility; and water / sewer project.
Bids will be received by Simpson Construction Services (Construction Manager) on behalf of USD 419 Canton-Galva School District (Owner) for the furnishing of all labor and materials as hereinafter specified for the construction of Track and Vo-Ag Building in Canton, Kansas. - Construction of a new 5,000 s.f. Vo-Ag building including new classrooms, and vocational space. - Exterior concrete drives and walks. - Building construction to be Pre-Engineered Metal Building. - Interior wall framing to include cold form framing, and drywall partitions. - Flooring to include sealed concrete, epoxy resin, and luxury vinyl tile. - Storage and equipment mezzanines. Cold form framing with fire retardant treated wood deck. - Plastic laminate casework with stainless steel countertops. - HVAC gas fired split system equipment - Plumbing for new restrooms, work sinks, classroom sinks, and drains. - New electrical power and lighting. - New competition track including 6 lanes (7 lane alternate), high jump area inside oval, field event runways and pits located on adjacent property including javelin, discus, long/triple jump, pole vault, shot put. - Sitework and underground stormwater drainage system. - Chain link fence As of November 4, 2025, a general contractor has not yet been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. In addition to furnishing the number of combination Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and Statutory Bond, if required, the Contractor shall file copies of such bonds with Clerk of the District Court and furnish Architect with receipt furnished by Clerk of the District Court, covering charges for filing and recording of said bonds.
