The contractor is to operate and maintain the Town's sewer and water facilities employing licensed operators where required. For the wastewater plant, daily maintenance includes visual inspection of the operation and review to ensure monitoring parameters are within acceptable limits; performing DEC testing. Weekly maintenance includes general housekeeping of the treatment plant and pump station, inspection of lift stations, and maintenance of chemical feed pumps. The contractor is to prepare a monthly operating summary report for the Town. For the water system, daily maintenance includes visual inspection of the water treatment plant, recording daily tests, and collecting and submitting other water quality analyses as required by the Department of Health.
