Hernando County is requesting statements of qualifications from experienced and qualified architectural and engineering (A/E) firms to provide comprehensive design services for the development of two new prototype fire stations. These prototypes--one 3-bay and one 4-bay configuration--will be used for the site-adapted construction of all future fire stations for Hernando County Fire Rescue (HCFR). The awarded firm will also be expected to provide full construction documents, bidding support, and construction monitoring services for each future project utilizing the prototype(s). As a result, the County is seeking updated, cost-effective, and operationally efficient prototypes to serve as the new basis for future station development. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Proposals, with or without cause, to waive technicalities, or to accept the Proposal which, in its sole judgment, best serves the interest of the County, or to award a Contract to the next most qualified Proposer if a successful Proposer does not execute a Contract within thirty (30) days after approval of the selection by the Board of County Commissioners or other competent authority.
