Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade theater / auditorium; one-story above grade theater / auditorium; and one-story above grade theater / auditorium.

Responsible contractors with the necessary experience, equipment, and qualifications are invited to bid for the required labor, materials, supplies, tools, appliances, equipment, and services for Capital Improvements relating to Bid Package 2 - Theatrical Upgrades at Kentucky Performing Arts, Louisville, Kentucky. The project scopes include: for Whitney Hall, demolishing and abating the existing asbestos-containing fire curtain at the proscenium opening, replacing it with a new framed fire curtain system (including new loftblocks, motorized traction drive headblock, steel backbone, control systems, and release systems); in both Whitney and Bomhard theaters, demolishing and hauling away of existing orchestra pit lifts (including motors, drives, etc.), reusing and modifying lift structures as specified, furnishing and installing new orchestra pit lifts (including lift mechanisms, drives, structural steel, perimeter skirts, control systems, and safety systems), providing new structural steel dunnage support frames at the pit floor, installing new wood dance floor system in Whitney and reusing existing stage floor in Bomhard, and furnishing and installing removable railing systems. Additional alternates include new stage floor in Whitney, replacement and upgrades of lighting and control systems, addition of color-changing work lighting, replacement of index strip lights and controls, cue lighting and blue running light systems upgrades for both theaters.
