The project includes construction of approximately 3,650 linear feet of new concrete sidewalk. Associated curb and gutter, storm drain installation, paving, and retaining wall construction are also included. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to City of Cave Springs in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid. Addendums to the bid package will be issued through the online MCE Plan Holders List, and all prime bidders are responsible for downloading the bid documents to be included in the Plan Holders List and to submit a bid. Bidders must enter the addenda numbers in the Proposal to verify receipt. The contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws, and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938, the Work Hours Act of 1962, and Title IV of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Build America, Buy America provisions apply. The City of Cave Springs encourages all qualified small, minority, and women business enterprises to bid and receive contracts and also encourages general contractors to subcontract portions of their contract to such enterprises. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period not to exceed 90 days from the bid opening date.
