Question Deadline 10/27/2025 Any prospective bidder who wishes to challenge a bid specification shall file such challenges in writing with the Owner no less than three business days prior to the opening of the bids. The project consists of roadway reconstruction, drainage improvements, replacement, and installation of curb and sidewalk for Nicodemus Avenue. All work on this contract must be completed within 60 calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal forms included with the contract documents, enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the project name on the outside, and addressed to the Borough of Oceanport. Bids must be accompanied by a statement of consent of surety from a surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey and either a bid bond or certified check drawn to the order of Borough of Oceanport for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid (not exceeding $20,000). The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of the project. Proposals will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the contract documents. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities, and in case of legal or administrative action against the owner, the project may be abandoned and bids rejected. The successful bidder must comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
