The City of Bentonville, Arkansas is accepting formal, sealed bids from properly qualified, licensed, insured, and experienced contractors for the construction of approximately 5,054 linear feet of new sanitary sewer facilities and the removal of existing sewer materials. Construction shall also include all necessary clearing and grubbing, erosion and sediment control, street crossings, street repair, and all other work as indicated in the plans and specifications for the City of Bentonville Wastewater Department. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the total bid price. Personal checks and company checks are not acceptable. The awarded bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds at the time of signing the contract in amounts equal to the total bid price. Bidders shall adhere to the bonding requirements specified in the bidding documents. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (Build America, Buy America Act) applies to all construction materials. The City encourages submissions from qualified small, minority owned, and women owned business enterprises, and encourages general contractors to consider these groups if subcontracting portions of the work. Bids must be submitted in accordance with Arkansas procurement law and received by Purchasing and Compliance prior to the public bid opening. Late submissions, unsigned submissions, and submissions lacking the required bid bond will be rejected without exception.
