The City of Fresno (City) is seeking development proposals (Proposals) from qualified firms (Developers) for the development of affordable modular, factory-built housing for members of the Senior community (hereinafter referred to as the "Project") on City-owned property located at 4323-4333 N. Blackstone Ave, Fresno, California, APN 426-253-19. The Project will be adjacent to the planned Senior Activity Center and will share all the amenities of the Senior Activity Center. The subject site currently consists of vacant commercial buildings. The City plans to demolish the existing structure to make way for the new development. The selected Developer will accept the vacant property "as is" and will be responsible for designing and constructing the Project. The development will include up to 100 units of senior affordable modular, factory-built housing, comprising a mix of studios, one bedroom, and two-bedroom units. All aspects of the design should prioritize accessibility. Parking requirements may be achieved by partially sharing parking with the neighboring Senior Activity Center, currently in development, by optimizing the use of available space.
