Renovation of an educational facility in Fresno, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 200-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
Bid 2526-1408 is for the Pershing Continuation High School Roof Project. Bids must be sealed and accompanied by a bidder's bond, cashier's check, or certified check for at least ten percent (10%) of the base bid, made payable to the Owner. A mandatory job walk is scheduled at the project site. Contractors must satisfy contract conditions and Education Code section 45125.2 regarding fingerprinting and student safety before any contact with students. Upon contract award and before beginning work, contractors must verify compliance with student safety requirements, sign the required declaration, and provide a Payment (Labor and Material) Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, secured from an Admitted Surety. Proof of public liability and property damage insurance each in an amount not less than $2,000,000.00 must be provided. The successful bidder may substitute securities or establish an escrow per Public Contract Code Section 22300. Only contractors licensed in California with a C-39 license will be considered. The lowest total bid among base, additive, and deductive items determines the award. Prevailing wage rates apply. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids. Bids cannot be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. General scope of work but not limited to 1. Includes removal and disposal of existing roofing system(s), insulation board, gutters, flashings, copings, etc. for a complete prepared roof surface. 2. Includes two hundred (200) square feet of decking replacement included in the base bid price. A per square foot price will be inserted into the bid form for anything needed and approved by the owner over 200 square feet. Before and after photos of all dryrot replacement must be submitted with billing as justification, payment will not be make without proper documentation. 3. Install one layer of rosin paper over the entire roof deck. 4. Install one layer of 1/2" dens deck prime with proper fastening pattern per 4' x 8' sheet5. Install one layer of 1/4" dens deck prime with 12 fasteners per 4'x 8 sheet at all vertical walls and angled brace walls. 6. Install one layer of Flex Base Plus 80 base sheet in Green Lock Plus membrane adhesive. Cut all T-joint corners at a 45 degree angle. 7. Install one layer of KEE-Stone FB 60 field sheet in KEE-Lock Spatter Spray Foam adhesive. Cut all Tjoint corners at a 45 degree angle. 8. Install one layer of KEE 60 bare back membrane fully adhered in KEE Lock WB Flashing adhesive over Flex Base Plus 80 at all vertical surfaces over dens deck prime. Membrane is is to be installed over the top of the wall and down the outside edge a minimum of two inches. 9. Install new KEE boots at all pipe penetrations, band and seal with Tuff Stuff urethane sealant. 10. Install new low profile sheet metal vents at the existing locations. 11. Install new 24 gauge pre-finished skirt flashing at all roof curbs, HVAC units, etc. 12. Install new 24 gauge pre finished surface mount flashing with butyl tape and fastened at 18" on center. Seal with Tuff Stuff urethane sealant. 13. Install new 24 gauge pre finished coping cap. 14. Install new minimum 1/2" slope tapered insulation crickets behind all roof curbs, skylights, and as needed for proper drainage. 15. Install walkway pad from canopy to all roof elevations and in a path to and around all mechanical equipment. Submit a walkway plan as part of the submittal package. 16. Clean and prime and paint all drain rings and drain baskets. 17. At the roof drain areas, frame the area to begin the outside edge to level with the roof drain area. Add a prefinished sheet metal fascia cover over the exterior area.
