The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO 21), will issue a request for proposal for a design-build construction project to install tieback roof anchors on Building 1 at the VA Medical Center in Fresno. The scope includes complete design services for permanent window-washing davit anchor systems, evaluation of existing roof and parapet structures, engineering calculations, and preparation of construction documents compliant with OSHA, OHS, and VA Master Specifications. The contractor must provide all design architect-engineer services, equipment, materials, supplies, investigations, project supervision, and construction period services. Design must comply with VA Design Guides and Criteria, VA Master Specifications, and all applicable codes including IBC, NFPA, OSHA, VA Plumbing Design Manual, and VA Health Directive 1061 for Legionella protection. The contractor shall also provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, and supplies required for construction in accordance with drawings, specifications, and Davis Bacon Wage Rate. The total contract duration is 240 calendar days, split evenly between design and construction phases.
