The Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility has eight oil-filled transformers, seven of 112.5 KVA and one of 225 KVA. These transformers contain trace elements of PCBs. The service provider will evacuate all oil, approximately 1,650 gallons, from these eight transformers and dispose of accordingly. The transformers will also be triple rinsed to eliminate any trace elements of oil in preparation for disposal of these transformers. The service provider is responsible for the containment and disposal of all wash water. The transformers will be disposed of by the City of Fresno. Prospective proposers are encouraged to attend a proposal conference to address any questions regarding the specifications.
