Verandah Municipal Utility District is requesting sealed bids for the construction of VERANDAH PHASE 1B PAVING IMPROVEMENTS 2019015D-001B. All official notifications, addenda, and other bidding documents will be offered only through the designated website. Bidding documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective bidders are urged to register as a plan holder, even if bidding documents are obtained from another source. Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond from a surety company holding a permit in the State of Texas, for an amount equal to 2% of the amount bid. The amount of the cashier's check or bond will be forfeited to the Owner if the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract or furnish bonds within ten days after the notice of award. If awarded the contract, Performance and Payment Bonds, Form 1295, and Verification of Compliance with Government Code Chapters 2252 and 2270 will be required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities, and is not obligated to accept the lowest bid. Consideration will include evaluation of the base bid, period of performance, and the financial standing of the contractor with the Owner, District, and City.
