Request for Proposals for Solar Power Purchase Agreement. Proposals are sought from qualified providers to supply electricity generated by a solar photovoltaic power system to be installed at Hazlet Middle School, Lillian Drive Elementary School, and Raritan High School. All proposals must include the base schools, with the option to include alternate offers as described. The solar energy will be provided under a Power Purchase Agreement. The PV System will be roof mounted. At Hazlet Middle School and Lillian Drive Elementary School, PV system installations may occur on any roof section as long as the installation stays on the rooftop. At Raritan High School, the base case restricts PV installation to certain roofing areas, while the alternate case permits unrestricted rooftop installation. Proposals must be accompanied by a Certificate of Consent of Surety from an authorized surety company, indicating the intent to provide a performance/payment bond for the full amount of construction. Each proposal must include a bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check for 10% of the total contract, not to exceed $20,000, payable to Hazlet Township Public School District Board of Education. The awarded proposer must comply with Public Contracts Law, affirmative action, equal employment requirements, Public Works Contractor Registration Act, and provide a valid Business Registration Certificate. Attendance at the pre-proposal conference is strongly encouraged. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
