Renovation of an educational facility in Cleveland, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

The work involves campus wide roof replacement at multiple locations including the District Administration Building, Metro Campus Recreation Center (partial), Metro Campus Buildings and Grounds Building (full), West Campus Recreation Center (partial), and East Campus Student Services Building (partial). The selected firm will review existing conditions, develop roof designs and specifications to meet College standards, and coordinate with the College’s roofing consultant. The focus is on protecting gymnasium hardwood floors with full replacement of specified Recreation Center roof areas and full roof replacements at the Metro Buildings and Grounds and District Administration Buildings. All roof areas outside these sections are excluded. The firm shall be responsible for reviewing previous design documents for the District Administration Building, stamping, permitting, and construction administration. All other roofs require new full design. Work includes demolition, roofing, MEP modifications, interfacing with building components, and construction drawings/specifications. The college will remain operational during construction. Required services include site/building review, design meetings at milestones, construction documents, bidding, construction administration, project close-out, and cost estimates at 50% design and at 100% CDs, using current market costs. Each submittal must include an organizational chart for the team, use sustainable high performance design principles, comply with Ohio House Bill 251 (Advanced Energy Law), and use recyclable/reusable proposal materials. Proposals must also comply with the State of Ohio permitting requirements and use a modified State of Ohio Standard for Public Facility Construction. Submit 2 hard copies and 1 PDF on a USB drive.
