CRMF Transfer Table At Track 3 Reconstruction The GCRTA Central Rail Maintenance Facility (CRMF) is located at 6200 Grand Ave, Cleveland, OH 44104. This project consists of the removal and replacement of the two Track 3 rails and four Transfer Table rails where they intersect within the CRMF. The primary goal is to change the orientation of the rails so that the Transfer Table rails take precedence as the continuous rail and the Track 3 rails become the butt rails. Currently, the Track 3 rails are the continuous rails, and the Transfer Table rails are the butt rails. Doing so will match all other intersections within the CRMF. The rail size to be used is 100 ARA-B (100-8). The existing epoxy grout surrounding the embedded rail will need to be cut at orjust past the contact with the concrete slab to remove all existing epoxy grout. Caution must be taken not to damage the concrete slab underneath. Refer to dimensions specified by the plans. All existing rail and excavated material must be disposed of by the contractor. Ensure all subgrade utilities and radiant floor heating is left intact. Contractor is to be aware of live overhead 600V DC catenary wire used to power the railcars. Overhead catenary can be turned off for limited periods of time on an as-needed basis following prior approval by the GCRTA. The rail subassembly is to be inspected and approved by GCRTA representatives off-site prior to installation at the CRMF.
