In general, the work on this project consists of the drilling of a new potable water production well and installation of permanent pumping equipment for the new well, and construction of all ancillary facilities for new Replacement Well No. 44 for Gloucester City located in Gloucester City, Camden County, New Jersey. The site is located at 100 N Johnson Boulevard and currently consists of the existing Water Treatment Plant and Well #40. Proposed Well No. 44 when completed, shall operate as a permanent production well. Well No. 44 shall be drilled approximately 25’ from existing Well No. 40 to an approximate depth of 262 feet below grade. The anticipated final pumping rate for Well No. 44 is 1000 gallons per minute (gpm). However, the actual pumping rate will be determined in the field upon completion of construction and development of the well and results of the constant rate pumping test.
