Sealed proposals are invited for the construction of water, sanitary sewer, drainage facilities, paving, and appurtenances to serve Tamarron Winter Wheat Road Street Dedication, LJA Job No. 1931-6069. Proposals must be addressed to D.R. Horton - Texas, Ltd. on behalf of Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 270. Bids may be submitted in hard copy or electronically through the provided website, where registration is required to download documents. The submission must include bid security in the form of a bid bond or cashier's check for at least five percent of the bid amount. The responsible bidder that offers the most advantageous and economical completion for the District will be selected. The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code, may apply, and bidders/contractors must comply accordingly. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to ENGINEER. As necessary, interpretations or clarifications will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than three working days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Verbal discussions and answers are not binding. The Contract Time begins to run on the date indicated in the Notice to Proceed. Contractor shall mobilize and begin Work in earnest no later than ten (10) days after the date indicated on the Notice to Proceed. The Work will be substantially complete within 100 calendar days after the date the Contract Time commences. The Work will be finally completed in accordance with Contract Documents within 110 calendar days after the date when the Contract Time commences.
