Sealed proposals are requested for the construction of the Offsite Sanitary Sewer Improvements to serve Silverthorne - Phase A for Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 202A. Bidders may submit bids at the office of the engineer or electronically through a specified website, for which registration is required. Bidding documents can be examined at the engineer's office or obtained for a fee. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved, and the successful bidder will be selected based on the Board's judgment of what is most advantageous and economical for the District. Each bid must include bid security in the form of a bid bond or cashier's check for at least five percent of the submitted bid. Compliance with requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code is mandatory, and the contract may be terminated for noncompliance with these statutory requirements. Bidders must declare if they have previously received a notice of noncompliance with these statutes and provide documentation of remediation if requested. A. The following paragraphs describe the major components of the work to be completed under this Contract. This list shall not be construed as all-inclusive and shall not waive the Contractor's responsibility to provide all necessary components of the project, either stated or implied, in full accordance with the drawings and specifications. 1) Sanitary Sewer Gravity Collection Line a) Approx. 865 linear feet of 48-inch sanitary sewer gravity collection line, constructed by open-cut and trenchless methods. b) Approx. 1,775 linear feet of 36-inch sanitary sewer gravity collection line, constructed by open-cut and trenchless methods. c) Approx. 165 linear feet of 18-inch sanitary sewer gravity collection line, constructed by open-cut and trenchless methods. d) Approx. 325 linear feet of 12-inch sanitary sewer gravity collection line, constructed by open-cut and trenchless methods. e) Approx. 390 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer gravity collection line, constructed by open-cut and trenchless methods. 2) New sanitary sewer manhole installation 3) Reconnect sanitary sewer services and cleanout installation 4) Abandonment and removal of existing sanitary sewer collection line and manholes 5) Temporary Traffic Handling a) Install and maintain temporary traffic controlling devices to protect the work zone, traffic and public per TMUTCD guidelines and standard TCP details shown on the plans. b) Protect new concrete pavements (during plastic stage) and new asphalt pavements from human or vehicular traffic until it is sufficiently cured and attained specified compressive strength. Concrete or asphalt damaged before acceptance by the City must be replaced at no additional cost to the City.
