Site work for a development in Katy, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade development.
Scope of Work includes detention, drainage, and mitigation improvements. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check in an amount not less than two percent of the total bid. The successful bidder must enter into the contract documents, execute the bonds on the forms provided, and provide the required insurance certificates and bonds within seven days after receiving the contract documents. If a certified or cashier's check is provided, the original must be delivered to the bid opening address within one business day of receipt of the bid opening. Bidding documents may be examined at LJA Engineering, Inc. or obtained upon payment of a non-refundable fee plus delivery cost. No cash will be accepted. Electronic bids and bid securities must be submitted in compliance with the Owner's Order Adopting Section 49.2731 Electronic Bidding Rules through the designated website. Bidders must register and obtain bidding documents on the website to submit an electronic bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive defects and irregularities except for the bid submission time. The responsible bidder most advantageous to the District and resulting in the best and most economical completion of the project will be selected. The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code may apply, and failure to comply can result in contract termination. Scope of Work of the Contract Documents includes the following: Detention, Drainage, & Mitigation. Pursuant to the foregoing Invitation and Instructions to Bidders, the undersigned bidder hereby proposes to do all the work for the unit prices bid to furnish all necessary superintendence, labor, machine, equipment, tools, materials, insurance and miscellaneous items, to complete all work according to the bids, as provided in the construction plan and contract documents, and clean up the site to the satisfaction of the Owner/Engineer, and bind himself on acceptance of this proposal to execute a contract and bonds for completing said project within the time stated for the following prices, to wit: Work covered by these Technical Specifications is entitled "Circle Oak Phase 2 Detention, Drainage, & Mitigation Improvements To Serve Fort Bend County Levee Improvement District No. 6" for Fort Bend County Levee Improvement District No. 6, Fort Bend County, Texas. 2. Description of Work. a. Under this Contract, Contractor shall furnish all materials, appliances, tools, equipment, transportation, services, and all labor and superintendence necessary for the construction of the Work as described in these Technical Specifications and as shown on the Plans. The completed installation shall not lack any part that can be reasonably implied as necessary to its proper functioning or any subsidiary item that is customarily furnished, and Contractor shall deliver the installation to Owner in operating condition. b. The Work, in general, under this Contract includes the purchase, installation, and construction of all structures, equipment, and materials, including appurtenances, as indicated on the Plans. Major items of construction and services required are designated as follows: (1) Excavation and hauling dirt to specified areas; (2) Storm sewers that include bedding and backfill; (3) Outfalls; (4) Slope pavement; (5) Clearing and grubbing.
