Renovation of a municipal facility in Salem, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Pre-Fabricated Stainless Steel ADA Compliant Restrooms1) The work shall include furnishing two (2) stainless steel self-contained pre-manufactured single ADA compliant restroom buildings (Restroom). The supplier will be required to: a. Submit complete, code compliant stamped engineer or architect building plans including plans, elevations, sections, electrical, sewer, water call outs and other installation information. b. Be a single source design, engineering and fabricator. c. Fully construct the restroom in their fabrication shop. No onsite fabrication is acceptable. The restroom shall be tested at fabricator shop prior to shipping. d. Provide a restroom that is the latest standard product of a supplier regularly engaged and having at least five (5) years of experience in this stainless steel single use ADA type restroom. e. Provide the complete restroom design including its concrete footings, foundation / slab to meet site specific conditions; these conditions shall include wind and snow loading, local frost depth, and ground conditions for Salem, Oregon. f. Comply with the latest industry building codes and regulations for the State of Oregon for all work and materials shall. g. Follow Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) for design, manufacture and construction. h. Be available to visit site to help answer questions or problem solve during installation procedures. i. Provide metal template for anchor bolt layout, base plate column mounts and alignment with sanitary and water connections. 2. The first restroom under this RFP will be installed in 2026 at McKay Park. The City will request any manufacture-supplied products that will be encased in concrete, i.e. drain inlets and templates, be delivered as soon as possible after order is placed, in advance of the restroom itself, so that they can be set by the General Contractor during the concrete installation on site. General Restroom Description: a. Size. The restroom shall be no larger than twelve (12) feet long and seven (7) feet wide at its longest dimensions, and no taller than nine (9) feet. b. Wall panels, doors and roof shall be 3/16" thick, heavy duty 304-grade stainless steel and powder-coated to resist vandalism and graffiti. c. Mechanical chase shall be incorporated into building design to house electrical and plumbing systems. d. Louvered panels shall be provided at top and bottom of structure to provide an open-air design that allows for ventilation and visibility. e. Building to be designed with a 110-volt AC hard wired electrical system. f. Control circuits shall be housed in a National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA)-approved enclosure. g. Building shall include electric-powered recessed interior and exterior LED lights, with automatic lighting system utilizing photo-eye and motion-sensor. h. Skylight to be incorporated into ceiling panel for added daytime lighting source. i. Weight shall not exceed 7,000 pounds. j. The building shall include a commercial-grade stainless steel toilet fixture. k. Heavy-duty Schlage commercial grade door hardware for the building to be keyed to City of Salem standards. l. Handwashing unit shall be mounted on the exterior of the restroom.
