The proposed work is officially known as "E. Harris Ave, Dollar General Sidewalk Construction" for the City ofGreenville, Illinois. The project shall consist of 1699 square feet ofsidewalk & appurtenances. Each proposal shall contain the name of every person or firm interested in the same and shall be accompanied by a bid bond, bank cashier's check, bank draft or certified check for not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid. A surety bond for the full amount of the award is required. Failure on the part of the contractor to deliver the materials within the time specified or to do the work as specified herein will be considered just cause to forfeit the surety. The City of Greenville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive or not waive any informality in the bids, and to accept any bid which it deems most favorable to the City. PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK 4 INCH - This work shall be referenced in Section 424 in the IDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction manual. Additional pavement replacement from saw cut repairs shall be included in this pay item at no additional compensation. Additional pavement for connection to driveway pavement shall be included in this pay item at no additional compensation. Expansion Joints shall be installed at 50 ft on center spacing. This work will be paid for at the contractor unit price SQ FT for PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK 4 INCH, which shall include all equipment, materials, fabrication and labor. DETECTABLE WARNINGS - Detectable Warnings shall be installed in the sidewalks at the locations shown in the plans and according to Article 424.09 of IDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction manual. The Detectable Warnings will be Cast-in-Place, Brick-Red, Plastic, Detectable Warnings manufactured by ADA Solutions or Mats will be furnished in a 2' x 5' size.
