The work consists of furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and appurtenances necessary for the Project 1A WTP to Kensington Water Line. The major elements include installing a total of 16,200 linear feet of 30-inch and 16-inch ductile iron water line from Walker County WTP to Station 162+00, including railroad and creek crossings, and all associated incidentals and appurtenances as shown on the drawings. Bidders must be listed on the Engineer's list of planholders who have purchased the Contract Documents, Specifications, and Drawings. A Bid Bond of 5% of the total project cost must be included in the proposal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds as specified. Surety and insurance companies are required to meet specified ratings and licensing requirements. Contractors must have minimum Worker's Comp and General Liability Insurance and a valid Georgia State Contractor's License. Compliance with federal work authorization for contractors and subcontractors working on public contracts in Georgia is mandatory. The project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act; all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials must be produced in the United States unless a waiver is approved. Each proposal must include a copy of a current Business License and/or Occupational Tax Certificate issued in the bidder's home state. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, waive formalities, technicalities, or irregularities, and to re-advertise if necessary.
