The project involves the construction of a new school for Upper Little Caillou Elementary School, located at 4824 Hwy. 56, Chauvin, Louisiana. The entire scope of work is to be completed within one hundred eighty (180) calendar days from the written Notice to Proceed, with milestone phase completion deadlines identified in the Project Manual or written, approved Change Orders. Proposal prices must exclude all taxes and include any applicable shipping or transportation charges. Bids will be accepted only from contractors licensed for the classification of building construction. Failure to include any required items or to properly execute forms will result in the bid being declared irregular and non-responsive. A mandatory pre-bid conference is required for all prospective bidders, who must be present for its entirety to be eligible to submit a bid. The lowest qualified bid determined to offer the best advantage will be selected, though the school board reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. All other instructions contained in the Instructions to Bidders, Articles 1-10, must be strictly adhered to.
