TERREBONNE PARISH SCHOOL BOARD LACACHE MIDDLE SCHOOL DEMOLITION 5266 LA-56 Chauvin, LA 70344 Architect's Project No. 2025.16 All of the work required shall be completed within ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY FIVE (185) calendar days from the written Notice to Proceed, subject to milestone phase completion deadlines identified in the Project Manual or written approved Change Orders. Should the Contractor neglect, refuse to complete the work, or obtain approval from the State Fire Marshal's Office for occupancy on the date above, the Owner shall have the right to deduct from and retain out of such moneys which may be due or which may become due and payable to the Contractor, the sum as indicated in Paragraph 10.2 of the Instructions to Bidders per calendar day for each and every day that such completion of the work is delayed beyond the prescribed dates, as stipulated damages and not as a penalty. Proposals must be submitted, on the Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form furnished with the Contract Documents, per Instructions to Bidders. Evidence of authority to submit the bid shall be required in accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(B)(5). All Bid packages shall be accompanied with the following: Bid Security in an amount equal to not less than FIVE PERCENT (5%) of the Bid Amount. Bid Security shall be a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond (Money Orders or Letters of Credit will not be accepted) made payable to the TERREBONNE PARISH SCHOOL BOARD. Bid Bond shall be accompanied with Power of Attorney. Completed Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form as described in LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(2). A corporate resolution or other written evidence of the person signing the bid for the Public Work as prescribed by LA RS 38: 2212 (B) (5) shall be required for submission of bid. Failure to include shall result in the rejection of the bid. Failure to include any item specified above, or failure to complete the Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form in its entirety and properly execute this form will result in the Bid / Bids being declared irregular and cause for rejection as being non-responsive. All other information contained in the Instructions to Bidders, Articles 1-10 shall be strictly adhered to. Bids shall be accepted only from Contractors who are licensed under La. R.S. 37:2150-2164 for the classification of BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for at least FORTY-FIVE (45) calendar days, except under the provision of La. R.S. 38:2214. The Lowest qualified bid will be the one determined to offer the best advantage to the Terrebonne Parish School Board. The TERREBONNE PARISH SCHOOL BOARD, to the extent permitted by State and Federal Laws and Regulations, reserves the right to reject any or all Bids/Proposals for just cause. Proposal prices shall specifically EXCLUDE any and all taxes whatsoever. Proposal prices shall include any shipping / transportation charges, if applicable.
