As of December 03, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Sealed bids are invited for general construction work titled 'PHASE 2 RENOVATIONS AT THE NEW IBERIA PEPPERPLEX.' Bids must be received by the City of New Iberia no later than 2:00 PM CST on Wednesday, November 19th, 2025. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at New Iberia Pepperplex, 607 Sucrose Drive, New Iberia, LA 70560 for all interested bidders. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Official bid documents may be obtained by calling Paul J. Allain, Architect APAC at 337-365-9493, with a deposit of $100 for a compact disc of contract documents. Prime bidders will be refunded the deposit upon return of the documents within ten days after receipt of bids. No hard copy sets will be provided. Electronic bid submissions will be accepted via Central Bidding (www.centralbidding.com). Each bid must include a bid security (certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond with power of attorney) equal to 5% of the total bid; money orders and company checks are not acceptable. Successful bidders must complete the project within 365 calendar days of the NOTICE TO PROCEED; rain/wet delay days are not accepted. Liquidated damages are set at $150 per calendar day. The City of New Iberia reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause, in accordance with Public Bid Law LA R.S. 382214.B.
