Bid date extended is on 12/08/2025 The project consists of the demolition of the building and slab located at 117 E. Solomon Street in Griffin, Georgia. The work includes all tasks shown in the drawings and specifications. The scope includes removal of existing windows and storefront at the façade, removal and disposal of existing materials and artifacts from the first and second floors, temporary bracing as required for hazardous materials abatement, hazardous materials abatement as identified in the Environmental Services Report, removal of interior debris from the first and second floors, and bracing the masonry demising walls during demolition of the interior construction, with such bracing designed to remain for future new construction. Instructions to bidders include: sealed bids must be hand delivered or sent by mail service in the required hard copy quantities, with no electronic submissions accepted. Bidders must submit one original, two copies, and one electronic copy on a device. Only official prospective bidders on record will be notified of addenda. Bids received after the specified deadline or delivered to departments other than Purchasing will not be considered. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held for interested bidders. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond of five percent of the bid amount, and the successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount of at least 110 percent of the contract amount. Certification of insurance is required prior to contract award. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, and to re-advertise. All questions must be submitted in writing by the deadline.
