Demolition and Reconstruction of the Heritage Park Gymnasium for the Spalding County Board of Commissioners Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia -The project consists of but is not limited to the demolition and reconstruction of the Heritage Park Gymnasium Building creating a 9,805 sq.ft. facility, along with related site work and improvements, in a site located in Heritage Park, in Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia and includes building/site demolition, new utilities with connections to municipal services, new grading/drainage, new storm sewer systems, new concrete sidewalks, selective demolition of limited building components, new foundations, new slab on grade, new load bearing foundations/Structural Steel/Cold Formed Steel Roof Framing, new metal framed stairs, new masonry veneers, new exterior window/door systems, new roof/fascia/eave systems, new building insulation, new interior metal stud framed walls, new interior floor/base/wall/ceiling finishes, new interior architectural millwork, new interior doors, new interior accessories/equipment, new plumbing fixture/piping systems, new HVAC/ductwork systems, , new fire protection, new primary/secondary/general electrical distribution systems, new lighting systems and fire alarm devices/systems. The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 360 days, and the time allowed for completion and readiness for final payment is 390 days from the date of commencement. Question Deadline 10/07/2025 at 12:00 PM ET Contractor questions regarding the bid should be directed to Kyle F. Epstein, A.I.A. via email at kepstein@epsteinandassoc.com . All questions must be submitted in writing. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond completed on the attached Bid Bond Form with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount at least equal to 110 percent of the contract amount, and a Certification of Insurance will be required. A Certification of Insurance will be required from the low bidder prior to award of the Contract. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for ninety days after the day of the Bid opening, but OWNER may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and re-advertise. Pre bid meeting notes: After an initial presentation by County Staff and the Engineer/Architect, a visit will be made to the project site at the corner of 3 rd Street and Jefferson Street during which time Bidders will be allowed to tour the facility and become familiar with the existing conditions.
