A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Subcontractor shall be solely responsible for providing all labor, operators, materials, machinery, tools, and equipment related to Electric Vehicle Impact Crash Testing for NYSDOT's mid-tension cable guide rail study. The project will evaluate the capability of the NYSDOT mid-tension cable guide rail to engage and safely redirect a Tesla Model Y under MASH TL-3 crash test conditions. The total length of the cable guide rail installation will be 600 feet. The scope of Crash Testing Services includes: construction of the 600-foot test article installation per shop drawings with photographic documentation, preparation and conduct of crash test conforming to MASH TL-3 criteria using the Tesla Model Y, and providing reporting and deliverables such as teleconferences with STV and the NYSDOT Project Team, digital crash movie files, photographs, and a full crash testing report meeting MASH requirements. All work, equipment, and procedures must meet at minimum the requirements of the Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware (MASH) and comply with NYSDOT Standard Specifications, regulations, directives, guidelines, policies, procedures, manuals, and applicable laws. Required experience includes previous documented successful crash tests of similar roadside safety systems, and all personnel must be qualified and certified. Equipment must meet MASH/NYSDOT requirements. Bidders are responsible for confirming material sources and ensuring timely procurement for the project, especially for the required cable material. Proposals must include a detailed proposed schedule outlining major milestones and deliverable dates. Signed proposals must be received by the specified deadline.
