The estimated project cost is $100,000. Major items of work for the Fire House Improvement Project, ARPA Project No. 2105, include removing existing floor tiles, installation of waterproof vinyl plank flooring, refurbishment or replacement of windows, replacement of approximately 30 ceiling tiles, and the installation of a dorm style washer/dryer and two garage door openers for the vehicle bay area. Additionally, the project involves erecting a basic garage/storage structure behind City Hall capable of housing at least two large fire vehicles. If funding permits, there will also be replacement of flooring in the station's living and office areas, and replacement of one second floor window. Copies are available for a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per set, with an additional $20.00 non-refundable fee if mailed. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid issued by an acceptable surety is required with each bid for contracts that exceed $100,000. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Marlin or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds may be submitted instead of a Bid Bond.
