Renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Marlin, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade fire / police facility; and one-story above grade fire / police facility.
The estimated project cost is $100,000. Major items of work for the Fire House Improvement Project, ARPA Project No. 2105, include removing existing floor tiles, installation of waterproof vinyl plank flooring, refurbishment or replacement of windows, replacement of approximately 30 ceiling tiles, and the installation of a dorm style washer/dryer and two garage door openers for the vehicle bay area. Additionally, the project involves erecting a basic garage/storage structure behind City Hall capable of housing at least two large fire vehicles. If funding permits, there will also be replacement of flooring in the station's living and office areas, and replacement of one second floor window. Question Deadline 10/31/2025 Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are available for review at 101 Fortune St, Marlin, TX. Copies are available for a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per set, with an additional $20.00 non-refundable fee if mailed. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid issued by an acceptable surety is required with each bid for contracts that exceed $100,000. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Marlin or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds may be submitted instead of a Bid Bond. The project is financed with assistance from the U.S. Department of Treasury under the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF/ARPA) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations, including payment of federally determined prevailing Tx Prevailing wage rate. The successful bidder must ensure no discrimination in employment based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Contractors or subcontractors debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from federal assistance programs may not participate. Section 3, Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and Historically Underutilized Business firms are encouraged to submit bids. The City of Marlin reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in bidding. Bids may be held for up to ninety (90) days for review and bidder qualification.
