The City of Calipatria has received federal funding to improve South Brown Avenue between Main Street/State Route 115 and Church Street. The project extends approximately 1,300 feet from Main Street/SR 115 to Church Street along South Brown Avenue. The proposed project includes widening and rehabilitation of existing roadway with new pavement section and construction of new PCC sidewalk, curb and gutter, ramps, driveways, and storm drainage facilities. Bid security shall accompany the bid in the form of a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond for ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount being proposed. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond, both equal to 100% of the contract amount. The DBE Contract goal for Project I - South Brown Avenue Roadway Improvements is 16 percent.
