The contractor shall repair and rebuild the Fairfield swage cylinder on Machine #WV12520 in accordance with the Statement of Work. The process includes coordinating with Watervliet Arsenal for shipment of the cylinder assembly to the contractor's facility, disassembling and evaluating the assembly, inspecting all parts for dimensional tolerances, reconditioning the rod including stripping, polishing, and re-chroming, and polishing the cylinder tube bore. All parts must be cleaned and deburred, and all seals and bearing elements replaced with new ones. New hardware will be installed, and the cylinder will be reassembled and tested according to standard bench test procedures (QAP-10 Sec.3.0). The cylinder will then be sandblasted, painted grey, packaged for shipment, and returned to Watervliet Arsenal. The warranty covers 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after delivery, whichever occurs first. Location: Watervliet Arsenal, 1 Buffington Street, Watervliet, NY 12189-4000, USA.
