The project consists of the mill and overlay of the existing asphalt roadway surface, installation of concrete shoulders, and installation of sub-surface drainage improvements along Al-Ida Dr. within the corporate limits of Hammond. The work includes about 1,100 linear feet of storm drain pipes (15" & 18" diameter), 21 catch basins, installation of 445 square yards of 6" thick Portland cement concrete shoulders, cold planing approximately 2,800 square yards of existing asphalt surface, overlaying about 345 tons of asphalt wearing course, removal and replacement of about 400 square yards of 6" thick and 8" thick Portland cement concrete driveways and street pavements, limestone (240 tons), imported backfill (150 cubic yards), pavement sawcut (3,500 linear feet), construction/traffic signage, miscellaneous sitework, erosion control, and related work as called for on the drawings, indicated on the Bid Form, or reasonably implied. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bidders may examine the bidding documents at the issuing offices during designated business hours and may obtain copies upon the payment of a deposit. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bid security is required in accordance with the instructions to bidders.
