A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The project consists of the replacement of the fire alarm system at the Gwinnett County Bethesda Park Aquatic Center due to end of life. The work includes replacing detection and signaling devices such as duct detectors, end devices, power supplies, batteries, relays, panels, and cabling as required. The new fire alarm system must be fully code compliant with voice evacuation. One unbound original and two copies are required. Corporations not chartered in Georgia must provide certification of authorization to do business in the state. No bids may be withdrawn for sixty days after the opening. A five percent bid bond is required. The successful contractor will be required to provide one hundred percent payment and performance bonds, and an insurance certificate meeting requirements. All surety and insurance companies must meet the specified AM Best rating and legal qualifications. All bonds must be on forms provided by Gwinnett County. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Gwinnett County may reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and negotiate terms with the lowest bidder.
