Sealed bids are being accepted for the 16th Street Student Center Building Improvements project, specifically for Bid Group #9, which includes the following bid packages: Mechanical Phase 2, General Trades Phase 2, Electrical Phase 2, Plumbing Phase 2, Fire Protection Phase 2, and Aluminum Storefronts & Glazing. Bidders for the Plumbing Phase 2 package must schedule and attend a mandatory walk-through, while bidders for other packages are encouraged but not required to visit the project site. All bidders are responsible for familiarizing themselves with existing site conditions prior to submitting a bid. Pre-qualification of all bidders in this bid group is required prior to the bid due date. Only one fully executed copy of AIA Document A305 “Contractor’s Qualification Statement” must be submitted via email before submitting a bid form. The competency and responsibility of bidders will be considered in making awards. The successful bidder must procure and pay for a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Berwyn North School District 98, not less than 10% of the Base Bid, is required with the Bid. All contracts are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders must comply with all applicable federal and state laws regarding Public Works projects, including the Illinois Human Rights Act and related regulations. Specifications are available electronically upon request after the specified date.
