Site work for a water / sewer project in Alexandria, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Separate sealed bids are requested for the construction of Sewer System Improvements. Bidding documents must be obtained from the Engineer for a nonrefundable fee, and bids submitted using documents from any other source will be returned unopened. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equal to 5 percent of the bidder's maximum bid price. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract and executed by sureties listed in U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570. Bids may not be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after opening or one hundred twenty (120) days if financed by certain bonds or federal funds. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. The successful bidder must have an active Unique Entity ID (UEI) as verified on www.sam.gov prior to award. The project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act, Davis-Bacon Act wage and labor provisions, and several federal equal opportunity, debarment, open competition, historical preservation, and endangered species requirements. Required attachments and certifications must be submitted within ten days of bid opening. All iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used must be produced in the United States unless a waiver is granted. ENGINEERS ESTIMATE: $775,000 - $825,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Question Deadline 11/12/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
