The City of Alexandria is seeking professional services for administering the design, bidding, and optional construction observation of the capital project WATER WELL RECLAMATION for the Water Department. The required services include: a) Design, bidding, and construction observation (optional) of the repair, rehabilitation, and/or site selection and installation of deep well, vertical turbine water wells for supply to the municipal water system. b) Performing work under strict time limitations: delivery of initial concepts within forty-five (45) days of contract execution and project bidding within ninety (90) days of contract execution. c) Work to be addressed on an hourly basis via implementation and execution of various Task Orders related to the Water Well Reclamation Capital Project. d) The City seeks firms with specialized experience and technical competence in similar projects and adequate capacity to perform within the required timelines. Instructions to Bidders: - Four (4) hardcopies and one (1) electronic copy of qualification statements must be submitted by the stated deadline and must be clearly identified as "Water Well Reclamation Project Professional Services." - Proposals received after the specified deadline will not be considered and will be returned unopened. - Respondents and their agents are prohibited from lobbying City staff or officials during the application and selection process; violation may result in rejection of a submittal. - Firms intending to submit must indicate intent to the City by email in order to receive addendums or modifications to the RFQ.
