ALEXANDRIA PARKS PLAYGROUND IMPROVEMENTS. Project work consists of the following major items: Concrete Paving, Acrylic Sports surfacing and colors, Pour-In-Place Safety surfacing and colors, Grading and Drainage, Playground Equipment, Seating, Fencing, Landscaping, etc. The contract duration is One-Hundred-Eighty (180) working days. Only contractors licensed for Building Construction per R.S. 37.2150-2163 may submit bids. Contractors' license number must appear on the face of the sealed envelope containing the bid. Complete bidding documents may be obtained electronically from Central Bidding or by written request to DDG; no printed copies are provided. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. Electronic submission through Central Bidding is permitted, with required registration completed prior to posting. Within ten (10) days of the bid opening, the apparent low bidder must submit CONTRACTORS AFFIDAVIT (AFF-1), CONTRACTORS ATTESTATION (AC 1-2), and ATTESTATION CLAUSE REGARDING VERIFICATION OF EMPLOYEES (AV-1) or be declared non-responsive. Bids may not be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after receipt. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
