Demolition for a municipal facility in Hoopeston, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade municipal facility.
The City of Hoopeston is seeking bids for the complete demolition and removal of the remaining debris from the building located at 819 S. Fifth St, Hoopeston, Illinois. The garage located on the lot shall not be demolished. All debris shall be hauled to the landfill at the reduced city rate dump fee, except for brick, which shall be taken to the city slab. The lot will be backfilled and brought to a level surface. Asbestos testing has been completed and there is no asbestos abatement necessary. The city has disconnected water and will also disconnect gas and electricity. This is a court-ordered demolition and must be completed by January 1, 2026. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope with "819 S. Fifth St" clearly written on the outside of the envelope. Do not put your name on the outside of the envelope. Bids must follow the listed specifications.
